One of my all-time favorite marinades - definitely a keeper!

Perfect steak is something I take a lot of pride in - I love finding a good marinade or a new sauce or way to cook my steaks. I mentioned on Instagram, we don't eat a ton of red meat, so when we do indulge I love to change it up and find new ways to make it fun!

“Perfect steak is something I take a lot of pride in - I love finding a good marinade or a new sauce or way to cook my steaks.”

Below I go over your shopping list and I breakdown the specific recipe and the steps to making these mouthwatering nachos! Serves 2. Recipe is gluten free!

Ingredients

* Juice from 1 lime

* 2 tbsp coconut aminos

* Handful of fresh cilantro, chopped

* 2 teaspoons cracked pepper (I like to add in some peppercorns too)

* Drizzle of honey

* 1 tsp of sea salt

--- Cooking Steps ---

  1. Chop up fresh cilantro and then add to a bowl with the other ingredients. Marinade the flank steak for 2-3 hours.

  2. Take out the steak at least 30 min before you plan to cook it, to allow to get to room temp.

  3. Put some olive oil in a cast iron pan and let it heat up, before adding the steak. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side, until both sides are browned and slightly charred.

  4. Turn the heat off and then let the steak cook another few minutes from the heat of the cast iron. Best served medium rare!
